Traditions
We both wanted to honor our families and thank them for all the love they have given us over the years. My bouquet and bridesmaids' bouquets will be gerbera daisies in honor of my fiance's parents. His mom carried daisies when they were married. I also will be trying my Great Grandfather's pinky ring from when he was born to my bouquet for my "something old." I cannot wait to see this ring that is almost 100 years old. I am very honored my Grams is letting me use this.
My mom is letting me use a hanky that my Great Grandma gave her when she got married, this means so much to me to be able to use something that was @ my parents' wedding day.
We will be having two smaller cakes off to the side where we will use my parent's cake topper from 34 years ago and my Grandparents' 25th Anniversary cake topper from 26 years ago.
My fiance's wedding ring will be his late Grandpa's ring. My niece made me a bracelet and could not wait for me to get it, I have to make it smaller to fit my wrist but was so honored - she cannot wait for the wedding.
I want to do something, but not sure what to honor my fiance's favorite Uncle who passed away this past holiday season, as well as his Grandpa. My favorite Uncle will be serving in Iraq and unfortunately will not be able to get back for our wedding - so I want to honor him as well.
